CHANNELING SPRING

Happy Thursday loves!  Hope your week has been going well.  Over the weekend, we had really great weather here with temperatures in the 60's!  Of course that didn't last very long and by Monday, it cooled down and snowed yesterday.  Today was bone chilling cold and windy.  This has been one of the coldest winters since I can remember and I'm counting down the days until Spring.

I love soft and feminine colors which is why I decided on this outfit.  I'm bringing a little bit of Spring to my life even if the weather won't cooperate with me!  I went to the Louis Vuitton store a few weeks ago (if you follow my Instagram you would've seen the post) and saw this beautiful bag but I was torn between the red color and this light pink color.  I had to walk away empty handed because I just couldn't decide.  However, this color really called out to me in the days that followed and I knew I had to have it.  Do you think I made the right choice?

BURGUNDY AND BROWN

Top: Chanel (old) | Pants: Michael Kors | Shoes: Steve Madden (similar here and here) | Trench: Coach (similar) | Bag: Vera Bradley

Happy Friday loves!  I just came home from a Valentine's dinner celebration with my mom and Chris.  We had an amazing four course meal including a lobster salad, braised short rib, and dark chocolate cake.  I am so stuffed!  Today's look is my work outfit from Thursday.  I'm wearing my favorite Chanel sweater.  I love the double layer look and subtle floral detail.  I'm not the biggest fan of brown and the only time I really wear it is when I'm wearing this top.  Sorry the pictures are a bit hazy.  We started loosing daylight and the pictures didn't come out as well as I hoped.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your weekend! xoxo

BLACK AND YELLOW

Blouse: Jenni Kayne (similar here) | Pants: Theory (limited sizes here) | Necklace: Lionette (use code Tulip for 10% off) | Bracelet: Chloe + Isabel | Shoes: Michael Kors (brown version here - on sale!)

Happy Wednesday lovelies!  Hope your week is going well.  Today, I'm sharing a second look from my romantic weekend away.  Yellow is my absolute favorite color and has been since I was very young.  It's such an upbeat hue and always puts me in a good mood when I wear it.  Besides being in my favorite yellow, this Jenni Kayne blouse is really well made and fits perfectly.  It's a quite simple style so I decided to add a statement necklace to jazz up the look.  I am loving this Lionette necklace.  It is so different and a total attention grabber.  I've only worn it twice and got tons of compliments each time.

FEELING ROMANTIC

Hi loves!  Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day.  I had off today and two snow days last week so it was an extra long weekend for me.  Chris surprised me Friday morning with a beautiful forever rose dipped in gold.  It was such a unique and different gift and I loved it so much.  We then went away to the beach to celebrate.  We had such a wonderful and relaxing time.  We drove around a bit on Sunday and then went to the beach.  It was too cold to go in the water so we just walked on the sand and boardwalk.  Sunday evening, we celebrated our five year anniversary.  He took me to this amazing Italian restaurant and we both had delicious meals.  It's definitely a place we will be going back to.

My forever rose

I was feeling rather romantic this weekend with Valentine's Day and our anniversary so I decided on this rather feminine look.  I love leather pants and this pair from J Brand is probably my favorite.  I like that it's different from the traditional black.  I also love the zipper details.  I really feel like it adds a lot to the appeal of the pants.  I like purple and gray together so I paired it with my Bensoni floral blouse and matching pumps.  I finished the look with my new Marciano Mina Blazer.  I'm a sucker for well made blazers and fell in love with the design of this one (scroll down for outfit details).

SNOWY WINTER

Top: Splendid (here) | Cardigan: H&M (similar style here) | Jeans: Hudson | Shoes: old | Necklace: Trollbeads | Purse: Coach | Sunglasses: Armani

Happy Thursday loves!  Hope you are having a great week so far.  It snowed around 10 inches here last night so today I got to work from home.  I hung out with Dixie and Lu all day.  It was really wonderful.  Another 4-6 inches will fall overnight so it looks like I will have a repeat of today tomorrow (I am not complaining!).

Lately I have been really into red pants.  It is the perfect color to standout in when everything around you is white.  I also picked up this cute H&M leopard cardigan last weekend when I went shopping with my mom.  I've been looking for one about this length so it was perfect.  Of course it is in my current favorite print: leopard.

Thanks for reading and happy Valentine's Day!  xoxo

HELLO SUNSHINE

Top: Splendid | Skirt: Fabriek | Coat: J Crew (other color options here) | Shoes: old | Necklace: Trollbeads | Sunglasses: Armani

Happy Monday loves!  Hope you had a wonderful and relaxing weekend.  Mine was pretty low key.  I went shopping with my mom on Saturday after stopping by the animal shelter.  She's looking to adopt a small sized dog so we went to see if they had any at the shelter.  Unfortunately the one we went to specializes in pitbulls and they are just a little too big for her.  I'm a total animal lover so it was really sad for me to see all the dogs without a home.  If I could, I'd probably take them all!

I didn't go too crazy at the mall but picked up a few small things.  I will share with all of you soon.  I find that any time I go shopping with my mom, she ends up talking me out of buying things.  I'm starting to think it's her strategy :)

Chris and I are going away for the weekend to celebrate Valentine's Day.  I also have Monday off so it will be a nice extended weekend.  We are heading to the beach which is about two and half hours away.  It is too cold now to go on the actual beach but will still be a nice getaway.  What are your plans for Valentine's Day and the weekend?

Thanks for reading and have a fantastic week!  xoxo

THROWBACK

Dress: Express (old) | Jacket: Express (old)

Happy Wednesday my loves!  Sorry it's been so long since my last post.  The weather here has been horrible with rain and snow almost every day!  They are forecasting another big snow storm Saturday into Sunday.  I'm hoping I will have a few hours of no precipitation to fit a photo shoot in.

I'm sharing an old shoot I did for my friend Walter's photography class.  These pictures are from his first photo session ever.  I think he has natural talent.  What do you think?  For those of you who don't know, Walter is the photographer for my blog.  Looking through these pics really made me miss my houndstooth coat.  It might be making an appearance in a new blog post soon :)

I went shopping over the weekend and saw the most perfect Chanel purse.  The only problem is no one has it.  I'm on 3 different waiting lists.  I'm hoping I can share it with all of you soon.  Wish me luck on a short wait!

Thanks for reading and have an amazing rest of the week!  xoxo
